Can I take your Advanced Reflexology courses – even if I took my basic Reflexology training elsewhere?
Yes, if they are of the same course content and hours as UCR courses, and are from an educational institution recognized by UCR.
What is the process to becoming a certified Foot Reflexologist?
There are currently no Canadian Provincial or Federal provisions to regulate reflexology. Check with your local municipality for local licence or business requirements. For US and International students check with your local regulatory bodies for local requirements.
Do all Reflexology Schools & Colleges teach the same program?
No. Programs offers can range from 2 hours to 500 hours for basic training. There are several institutions who offer foot reflexology certification programs. Each program is independent, and even though some have nationwide teachers or practitioners, this gives them no more credibility than local educational facilities. Always ask if Post Graduate Therapeutic Reflexology, or continuing Reflexology education programs are offered. Just know that the basic Reflexology course is just the starting place of learning the vast body of knowledge available to Reflexologists. Always check the school and teachers qualifications.
Where does the Universal College of Reflexology teach?
The Universal College of Reflexology had a physical campus in Edmonton, Alberta for 18 years, teaching over a 1,000 Reflexology students. Times change, and the advent of the internet, mobile technology such as cell phones, smart phones, iPhones, iPads, android tablets and the like created a wave of would be students asking if they could learn Reflexology using the new technology. The Universal College of Reflexology pioneered teaching Reflexology through these mediums and it has succeeded beyond our wildest dreams. No longer do students have to travel, book time off work, or pay expensive hotels to attend our college.
How does the Universal College of Reflexology teach?
We utilize state of the art virtual classrooms, with videos you can watch over and over to make sure you get things just right, audio lessons or you can download and print off the weekly lessons for you to refer to, and study from if that is your preference! There are handouts, charts, weekly quizzes for you to measure your learning, and know when it is time to move onto the next lesson. Plus Coach Jack who helps you stay on target and reach your goals. There is also an interactive lounge for students to get together and hang out.
How long does it take to achieve certification as a Foot Reflexologist?
One of the great benefits of a home study program is that the student is able to work at their own pace. Some students complete the program in a few months, others take the full time allotment – it depends on how much available time you have each week/month to apply to their studies.
Are UCR courses full or part time?
All our courses are part-time, professional courses and allow students to progress at their own pace, with plenty of friendly help and support.
I would like to learn more Anatomy & Physiology, what does UCR offer?
If you would like to know more about how the body works in an easy to learn format, UCR is pleased to offer an online course designed for Reflexologist by Reflexologists. Many students choose to study this alongside the Professional Foot Reflexology Practitioner program and find that they integrate well to boost your basic knowledge.
